We are an Agri-processing company that processes hemp grown by our local commercial and rural farmers, into hemp fiber for industrial markets such as textiles, building materials and many other emerging markets. Established as a closed corporation on 5th December 2021, Kwazulu hemp Processors is a young company, with a small team that has already conducted proof of concept in collaboration and assistance of commercial farmers in the Eshowe district. We proved that Hemp and the ability to successfully plant, harvest and sell the end products was not only viable, but has the potential to uplift the rural farming communities. We as a pioneering small black owned business, is ready to take the next step into the future green economy of Hemp, however the need to expand and grow with market demand.
Zululand Hemp Refineries was established to meet the needs of the emerging hemp industry in South Africa, by providing services and products for the emerging markets and customers.
ZHR supplies raw hemp products to the farming and manufacturing sectors both locally and internationally. Services provided by ZHR are as follows:
Packaging of fibre , hurd/shiv and seed to customer requirements.
Refining of fibre and hurd to customer requirements.
Manufacture and supply of hemp agricultural equipment, mobile decorticators, oil presses and hammer mills, locally manufactured in SA.
Export to foreign markets, production and sale of livestock pellet feed.
